Spring jug and bream fishing from 10 ft bass raider
Thank you!!! How are you liking it so far? Any issues with the carb?
@@nexcuc1374 I did have some initial issues. The original owner used ethanol fuel so I had to clean the carb and he adjusted the float height way too high causing gas to flood out of the carb. Since I fixed those problems with the help of my cousin I haven't had any issues out of it. Good little outboard.
Curious how you made out as far as money to upgrade motors?
I sold my Mercury 25 for $4,000 and I bought that one for $6,000. ,000 so overall I spent $2,000 and installed the motor myself and I believe I've added at least that much value to the boat so pretty well
There are mag extensions out there
Try Fishing around the house boats.
@@Tatoutdoors I will do it 👍
Would you tell where you are fishing?
What year Honda Ridgeline do you have I was also thinking about putting a comp rt in mine but possibly doing just one 10-inch so it doesn't take up much room
It was a 2007
Okay thank you that's helpful I have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline haven't decided if I'm going to do a 8 inch or 10 inch yet
@@corycor1083 both are good, if you want lower bass then definitely go with the 10 in

Thank you and glad you liked it and found it useful!
thats a big red ryder
Nice! What boat do you use for? What is the fastest that have gotten it to go?
@@gilg2560 i use it on a 10ft bass raider and 7-8mph perfect for my needs
Thank you so much I would not have found it if it wasn't for you big help....😊
I've had mine for about 10 years myself and shoot it regularly. I carry it daily for self-defense and for critters around my farm. My biggest beef with this pistol is if you have to take it completely apart for a thorough cleaning because it gets super dirty carrying it daily, its a bitch to put ot back together. Ill carry it cutting grass and doing chores and ive gotten dust and grass chunks in it. For this reason im looking at a different pistol thats a bit easier to completely disassemble. Probably the glock 22 cal
I've never bothered to disassemble mine.I simply use a toothbrush with a little oil to scrub the feed ramp, extractor. Don't buy another gun cause it strips down easier.....just get a toothbrush.
All you had to do is bend the hooks back
I am new to boating. I just ordered a 14-footer PortaBote which has a max load capacity of 701 lbs. Can this 3.5HP handle a 570 lbs combined weight?
Hey, yes it should be. It won't be very fast but it will get you where you need to go. If the boat is rated for more power it wouldn't hurt to step up to a 5hp
@@BuckcreekTV I ordered a 14-foot PortaBote and they recommend up to 6HP Outboard motor.
@@rmagistr That sounds good, I would personally spring for the 6hp
Picking one up on Saturday
You will enjoy it
Are those carbon steel Nut Rivets? wondering why you did not use stainless. I know aluminum is weak but any dissimilar metal could cause Galvanic corrosion. Not sure there is a way to use nut rivets to prevent this. I would be interested in an update to see if those rust or have corrosion later on down the line.
No rust after a year and saltwater use just unscrewed the base a month ago without a problem. They are brass rivets with stainless bolts.
@@BuckcreekTV Awesome. Thank you for the update, planning on doing something similar.
No problem
That was a gut shot 100%. If it hit behind the shoulder, you would have found it.
How do you spend that much on a motor and not measure your transom?😮
I did, and it's worked fine for years. It was going to be very very difficult to find a 25 in. shaft so I 20 is sufficient
@BuckcreekTV for sure! You don't find many 25" shafts. Unless you're in the sailboat engine range. You said you made a mistake, so it sounded like you forgot or just didn't do it, which would be silly when you're spending that much money. 😜 I have a 35hp w/ 20" shaft on my 16' deep, and it moves as nice as yours. That 35 to 40 seems to be a good engine size for that size boat.
I like your added cinematography. The shots of the creek running. Just a relaxing video
I appreciate it I'm glad you enjoyed it!
That reticle mask is something physical you attach to the camera, or it's a post production editing ?
It's post production editing
@@BuckcreekTV ah, alright, thanks
Excellent video well played out consise and to the point. No frills just the facts! 👍 👍 👍
Glad you enjoyed and found it useful!
“I’m not blowing 12 inches or anything”. Me neither brother. Me neither.
I had one. Bought it new. Used it for several years...then the carb clogged. They don't come with fuel filters in the lines! Would have prevented the problem. Next one will be EFI for sure. We got about 8 mph in a 14 ft aluminum Jon boat with two men, A cooler, trolling motor, and a battery. At wide open throttle it would run about 44 minutes before needing to refill gas tank.
That sounds awesome! I'm going to have to fix the car again. I bought a brand new one and that didn't do the job. I wonder if there's junk in the fuel system? That's the next step in line for me
How do reset the ligth’s motorboard?
Hey what prop size you have?
15p I don't remember the other dimensions
What length and type of line did you use?
6-8ft but it can be as short as three or four. Just depends where you're placing them and I just buy 90-120# braided line
What pound test line u use?
In this video 4lb test but for panfish I use 2lb test and have successfully caught bass in that low strength line
This on the water review made up my mind…. Looks like both of the lakes I’ll be visiting mostly and was iffy about now I know I won’t die haha
Nah you'll be good I've put this boat through way worse than this video
Nice crayfish mound
I bet yall could duck hunt that area real good
Every once in a while woodies will fly in but it isn't as great as you would think.
Good video ...... good detail 🐟
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Dope video it im a beginner and this def helped me catch some bream 🐟 🙌🏾 keep the videos going bro on dif set up, bait, jigs and how to cast them
Glad you found it useful. I certainly will. I appreciate it and glad you enjoyed
Thanks for this! Think there’s any problem spraying by the onboard itself? (
I wouldn't use it on the outboard because it is a weak acid. Probably better to use boat soap on that followed by a waxing of it
I have a 2.5hp n it looks exactly the same. Do you know the difference between them
Not off the top of my head but if I had to guess likely just the carb. I know the 3.5 can be upgraded to 5 horsepower. If you buy a new car for it possibly the same for the 2.5 but that's a guess
@BuckcreekTV yea thats what ive heard but nothing set in stone yet
Wow finally someone thats knows what they are talking about when it comes to a panfish rig.
Great video !
Thank you!
Yup, still a .22
Buck creek reminds me so much of Sylvania, Ga where I grew up...anyways great video and I subscribed!
Glad you enjoyed!! Thank you!
What bait?
I prefer crickets with the set up but worm can be used as well. If worms are used you can get away with not using a split shot since they sink slowly
Can you tell for 2007 where i have to find code.
I've seen some comments where you can find on the plastic inside the glove box and sometimes they put it in the service manuals if you still have that with the vehicle
Liked your take on equipment.
Glad you liked it!
Good video.
Thank you!
What kind of rail does the Rossi Gallery have, and can you mount regular red dots on it?
